If you prefer the classic look and feel of rim brakes, but want to benefit from the more compliant and more lightweight carbon frame, then the 4000 could be the perfect bike for you. Ideal for long training rides or challenging club outings.

While disc brakes have made great inroads into the world of road cycling, we like to keep the rim brake option in our range for riders who prefer the classic look. With a less aggressive geometry compared to the top-end SCULTURA range, the 4000 combines the smooth shifting and reliable 105 groupsets from Shimano with a full carbon frame and tapered carbon fork. The 4000 is a classic road bike with whippet-like acceleration, proven climbing pedigree, and impressive riding comfort that will make long hours in the saddle exhilarating and fun.

Rather than featuring the more aggressive and race-proven geometry of the CF5 and CF3 models, the CF2 and aluminum SCULTURA models retain their slightly more relaxed geometry. Within this family, we offer our bikes powerful and easy-to-modulate disc brakes that deliver constant braking power even in wetter conditions or the more price-aggressive rim brake alternative. Due to the less aggressive geometry, our CF2 and aluminum models are ideal for riders who are getting into the sport as well as for those who prefer a slightly more upright position when hitting the lanes.

Technologies

Flex-Stay
The seat and chainstay profile and carbon lay-up schedule are adapted to work like a flat leaf spring, absorbing surface bumps and reducing vibrations.

X-Taper Headtube
Our X-Tapered headtube offers the space for a tapered fork to be fitted. Tapered forks offer superb stiffness and precision and deliver confidence-inspiring steering.

Internal Cable Routing
Cables are routed through the frame, entering and exiting through smooth sockets. The bike looks neat, whilst the cables are protected from moisture and dirt.

Di2 Ready
Bikes/frames with the symbol ‘Di2 Ready’ are prepared for the installation of Di2 technology with battery mounting in the seat post or within the fork steerer.

Nano Matrix Carbon
To protect the integrity of carbon frames, the fibers are bonded together with an epoxy resin with added nano particles, increasing impact resistance by up to 40%.

AWS
When creating the individual carbon elements, an inflatable bladder is used to ensure there are no wrinkles inside the tube as these can add weight and create weakness. This results in a lighter, stiffer and stronger frame.

Naca Fastback Profile
The aerodynamics are based around a NACA0028 teardrop profile (National Advisory Committee for Aeronautics) which is truncated. Air moves around the tube as though the missing rear section of the teardrop were still there, saving weight by using less material.
